COMPANY PROFILE

Founded in 1989 by Tom Gibson, the company’s primary focus was to provide national and regional lenders with a full service “Asset Assistance” program for their burgeoning portfolios of defaulted loans and foreclosed commercial properties. Due to the unprecedented volume of defaulting loans, Asset Specialists, Inc. expanded rapidly, encompassing a multi-state portfolio with multi-state offices, and represented most major lenders at that time. In a short five year span, Asset Specialists, Inc. successfully handled the takeover, property management and disposition of over $500 million dollars in Lender REO properties, from office and industrial buildings, shopping centers, partially completed residential communities, to large tracts of vacant land and even an amusement park.

Armed with the expertise of being turnaround specialists and a credible track record to back it, Asset Specialists, Inc. began teaming up with private equity and capital partners eager to take advantage of the value add and opportunistic investment markets and has never looked back. Our continual relationships with lenders, special servicing agents and vulture fund companies actively buying large portfolios of loans and selling off specific assets has enabled us to continue to bring opportunities to our partners through both good and bad economic times.

Our Brokerage Services division offers Landlord Representation, Tenant Representation, and Investment Sales services. From office, retail, and industrial, each of our associates are immersed in their specialized markets and have a combined 100+ years of experience in the Commercial Real Estate Industry. They know the properties and the players. This knowledge gives them the ability to attract quality tenants or buyers, thus maximizing their client’s real estate investment value.

As President of Asset Specialists, Inc., Tom is involved in all aspects of the firm. He places a strong emphasis on results and he is dedicated to providing the utmost in professional service to his clients.

Tom is a licensed and highly respected Florida Real Estate Broker, with extensive experience representing a variety of commercial real estate investors. His experience and knowledge of the commercial real estate markets enable him to successfully guide investments toward their ultimate goals – whether that is maintaining high occupancy and increasing a property’s value or disposing of an asset at the highest possible selling price.

Tom’s specific responsibilities include analyzing financial information, developing marketing strategies, providing management supervision, and coordinating loan workouts, lease negotiations, and asset disposition negotiations.
